Snowstorm/Halloween decor!

This past weekend, we had a huge snowstorm... I couldn't believe how much snow we got when it was still October!  Unfortunately, we had to cancel our Halloween plans, which involved traveling out of town for a party.  We were so disappointed, but didn't want to risk driving in the bad weather.  After seeing how much snow we got, and hearing about how many down trees and power lines there were (and still are today!) we definitely made the right decision.  Here are some snowstorm pictures:

For Halloween this year, I didn't really decorate outside, other than the pumpkins shown above (I never took a picture before it snowed!) and a wreath on the door:

Inside, I put out a few things to make it feel more festive:

And of course, MacGyver got in on the Halloween action too!

Before and After House Tour

Front of house- Before:

No after yet!  All we have done is changed the storm door, added some new solar lights, and cut down some trees that you cannot see in this picture.

Heading around the side of the house to the back yard.  Eric changed the edging from the landscaping timbers, same as you see in the front, to these stones:

Backyard- Before- this mulched in area contained several tree stumps and was marketed as a "meditation garden" in the listing:

After: We removed the stumps, mulch, rocks, and landscaping timbers, planted grass, and got patio furniture:

Living Room and entryway- Before, previous owners' things:

After- We painted, replaced vertical blinds with curtains, replaced outlet covers and lightswitch plates, and added furniture and decorations:

Kitchen- current (we haven't done anything in here except move in our stuff)

Heading downstairs- Family Room/ Eric's "man cave" Before:

After- This is the room where we changed the most, we painted every surface, including paneling, drywall, ceiling, and doors, put in carpet, changed light fixtures, changed window treatments, changed outlet covers and lightswitch plates, and added our furniture and decorations:

Heading upstairs- hallway and bedrooms.  In each room here, we painted, changed dooorknobs, changed outlet covers and light switch plates, and added furniture and decorations.

After- painted, changed doorknob, changed toilet seat, changed hand towel ring, added towel hook to door, added shower curtain (the glass and mirror door is still there behind curtain)
